Lawrence Girls
A quick pic of the Lawrence girls whom I photographed as part of some ongoing work I'm doing for the local University of the Fraser Valley.

Caribbean Blues
Heading back to Canada today. A few polaroids out the window.

Morning After Night Before
I've discovered the fountain of youth and it's here in the Dominican Republic living inside Melissa+Dick. After watching the sun rise from Casa Kimball's hot tub they put the wedding clothes back on for a quick photo session this afternoon. Here's one for now. More to follow.

Blanco Y Blanco
Any time you can attract more than 150 guests - most under the age of 30 - to a destination wedding you know there's a lot of love. Melissa+Dick's Dominican wedding was as monumental as their obvious love for one another. The weather was unsettled, windy, and fingers were crossed for days prior. But it didn't rain until after the first bus left Casa Kimball at 2am with the dance party still raging into the morning.
Republic Of Loveliness
Flew into Puerto Plata this afternoon after an epic 24 hours of airports to airplanes to airplanes to airports. The drudgery washes away pretty quickly on touchdown and arrival at one of our favourite beaches on the planet - Playa Grande. Which by the way has been acquired along with one of the the best golf courses in the caribbean and will have an Aman hotel and a lot of condos on and nearby in the next five years or less. Anyway, here's a few quick polaroids from today. Stay tuned for Melissa+Dick Saturday.
Casa Kimball - Dominican Wedding
We were in Dominican, Republic back in November for Nicole + Ryan's wedding at a villa north of Cabrera. I'm heading that way again this week with Melissa+Dick who are getting married Saturday at Casa Kimball. Stay tuned. This is our all-time favourite wedding destination location - the town, the people, the culture, the food, the weather, the beaches and of course the Kimball.

Playa del Carmen Wedding
Mayan Riviera Wedding
Ok, here's the scoop: Katie+Mark were married on the beach at the Myakoba on Saturday in a barefoot emotion-filled ceremony under fairy-tale skies. The dinner and resort and details and party were stunning - not to mention Mark+Katie who were, well, stunning. Bay-area planner Stacy McCain made it all easy as pie de limon with gorgeous details and seamless timing. Hire her! I on the other hand had a long couple of days getting back home after a stop on the interstate with a broken fan belt..... so, I'll leave you with one for now and catch up in the morning with a full post. I try not to have dress fetishes, however Katie's Oscar de la Renta is one of the prettiest ever.
